Can tabletop role-playing be a psychotherapeutic tool ? Results of a pilot study conducted in Switzerland
Proposé par : En Quête du Réel: Sur l'Ile du Temps perdu (CHUV)
In recent years, there has been a surge of research into the use of tabletop role-playing games as psychotherapeutic tools. In this talk, we will present a pilot study that tested the feasibility and effectiveness of an original intervention capitalizing on “offline” role-playing (around a gaming table and with other gamers) to reduce social anxiety and excessive video game use.
The aim of this project was to generate preliminary data prior to using the program with patients at the "Centre du jeu excessif of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois" (CHUV) in Lausanne.
