Rethinking play : accessibility and the representation of disability

Proposé par : Cap'Games

How can we make board games accessible to all, while offering a fun and inclusive experience ? "Tonnerre de Tuiles" an adapted family game featuring characters with disabilities, invites us to reflect on this question.

Bringing together key players from the world of gaming who have addressed this theme, this round table will explore three key areas: the representation of disabled people in games, the accessibility of mechanics and components, and the technical, social and economic challenges faced by creators, publishers and mediators in offering truly inclusive gaming experiences.

Speakers :
- Sarah Favaron, Access+ Studio Director, Asmodee
- Xavier Mérand, President of the Accessijeux association
- Eloise Messac, coordinator of l'Oiseau Jeu, games librarian and vice-president of ALF
- Cap'Games, creators of the accessible and inclusive game Tonnerre de Tuiles, as part of a project at collège Saint-Jean (Morbihan)
